Ration Card New Portal: The central government has taken a new initiative regarding the ration card. The government has started a common registration facility for ration card enrollment in 11 states and union territories of the country.

At present it has been started as a pilot project. Food Secretary Sudhanshu Pandey (Common Registration Facility) stated that this facility is available to the States under the National Food Security Act (National Food Security Act) will help in verifying the identity of the eligible beneficiaries for internal coverage.

Sudhanshu Pandey said that the main objective of the registration facility is to identify the eligible beneficiaries in the states. Under this, it will help in issuing ration cards to the eligible people.

Ration Card New Portal: How many ration cards were canceled?According to Food Secretary Sudhanshu Pandey, about 4.7 crore ration cards of about 18 to 19 crore beneficiaries have been canceled due to various reasons in the last 7 to 8 years. New ration cards are also issued regularly to the eligible beneficiaries by the states and union territories.

He said that the new web-based facility would be currently available as a pilot project in 11 states and union territories. Ration card facility will be started in all 36 states and union territories of the country by the end of this month.

According to the secretary, the 11 states and union territories that have started this ration card portal facility include Assam, Goa, Lakshadweep, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Punjab and Uttarakhand.

The citizens of the state can register for the ration card by downloading it on the mobile phone. After visiting the official website of Ration Card, click on Ration Card Eligibility List on the right side of the homepage. After opening the link you will see the list of districts of Maharashtra.

From this list click on your district and then select your area. Now the name of the shopkeeper, ration card and list of beneficiaries will come in front of you. There will be a separate list for urban and rural areas.
